Amy Benedick is a Principal Research Associate with more than 15 years of experience in transportation safety research, specifically in the areas of human factors and large-scale survey design and implementation. Benedick has extensive knowledge of experimental design and data analysis. She has conducted studies focusing on road user behavior, including distracted driving, situational awareness and attention, driver workload, vehicle displays and controls, occupant protection, and crash avoidance behaviors. Her expertise in quantitative and qualitative research techniques includes on-road and closed-course settings, laboratory studies, survey research, literature reviews and environmental scans, contextual interviews, usability testing, and focus groups.
Benedick is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).
